About

Built for the shop owner, not the software buyer

SkillBison exists because the good money software has a truck app nobody wants to use, and the good truck apps do not keep a real set of books.

What we are trying to do

A shop with five to twenty-five trucks sits in an awkward spot. The cheap tools are easy to start and shallow where the money is. The deep tools want a long contract, a big setup fee and months of your life before anything works.

SkillBison is one system: the call, the board, the truck, the quote, the invoice, the payment and the ledger. Same records, same minute. Not a nightly sync between four things that each half-know the truth.

The technician side comes first. If the person holding the phone at the bottom of somebody's basement stairs will not use it, none of the rest of it matters.

How we work

These are rules, not slogans. They cost us features and they cost us speed.

  • Security first, then speed, then conversion. In that order, every time.
  • Fix the business before you amplify it. We do not market a system that does not work yet.
  • A human stays in the loop on anything involving money. No silent automation.
  • Fifth-grade clear language. If it needs a glossary, it is written wrong.
  • We say what is not built yet and what is in development. On feature pages, on trade pages, on this page.
  • No real customer data enters the system until our own testing gate passes.

Where the product is today

A development build, running on made-up companies, made-up customers and test-mode payments. One full job has been taken from a phone call to a balanced ledger entry, and the technician app has been used on a physical phone.

It has not been penetration tested, PCI reviewed or CPA reviewed. No live shop is using it. We are not taking money.

SkillBison’s business entity is being formed. Until that is complete we are not publishing a legal entity name, and our privacy and terms pages say plainly which details are still outstanding rather than filling them with something that is not true.

Tell us where we are wrong

Thirty minutes on a screen share. If SkillBison does not fit the way your shop runs, we would rather hear it now than sell you something.
